The Monterey Museum of Art and its historic La Mirada facility are located in Monterey, California. The Museum's Civic Center address is 559 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940. Hours: Wed-Sat 11 a.m.to 5 p.m. Sun 1 - 4 p.m. La Mirada is at 720 Via Mirada. Hours: Thurs-Sat 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sun 1 - 4 p.m. Admission: Free to members and $5.00 to non-members. With all of its appealing features: rocky tide pools, breaking waves, windswept dunes, vast ocean vistas, fog and mist enshrouded trees; the area around the peninsula had enough, not only to lure artists here, but to keep them painting for years.
