Smith's paintings depict locales throughout the United States and are characterized by their precision, clarity, and attention to detail. He is noted for his sensitive portrayal of light, space, and mass in his natural and urban landscapes. This exhibition presents more than 50 years of Mr. Smith's achievements culled from private, corporate, and public collections. Many works in the exhibition are from the artist's collection and have never been displayed publicly, including several recently completed paintings of sites in Buffalo.
