The Monterey Museum of Art will be exhibiting a selection of fine photographs from the collection of photographer and collector Frederick B. Scheel in Gallery IV, from January 10 - March 23, 1998, at the Civic Center location, 559 Pacific Street, Monterey.
Apart from photographs by Frederick B. Scheel, this wonderful and varied exhibition includes works by European and American photographers such as W. Eugene Smith, Andre Kertesz, Frederick Evans, Aaron Siskind, Brett Weston, Ansel Adams, and Paul Caponigro.
There will be an Opening Reception, on Friday, January
16, from 5:00 to 6:00 for Museum members and 6:00 to 7:30, for the general
public. The reception will introduce three other new exhibits Misch Kohn:
Beyond the Tradition, Small Wonders: The Etchings of Ausgust Francois Gay,
and Jeff Adams: Recent Paintings.
