Hagerstown Artists Exhibition
The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts is mounting an exhibition of Hagerstown artists of historic significance from December 28, 1997 through February 22 ,1998. Artists included in the exhibition are Claggett D. Spangler (1848 - 1911), Mary Helen Chrissinger (1879 - 1968), William D. Downs (1871 - 1950), Frederick Kemmelmeyer (1760 - 1821), John Ross Key (1832 - 1920), Herman C. Koehler (1835 - 1919) and Ellen Gifford Northern (1873-1944). The image below is included in the exhibition and is titled "Fairview Mountain" by Claggett S. Spangler.
