Located at 2301 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85004, the Heard Museum's collections showcase the history and living cultures of Arizona' s 21 Federally-recognized American Indian tribes. Encompassing more than 32,000 works of art and ethnographic objects, the Heard Museum emphasizes the cultures of the Greater Southwest, but includes Native American fine art from North America and from indigenous cultures throughout the world. The Heard Museum has a 24,000 volume library and 50,000 item photographic archives, which are open to researchers, students and the general public. The Heard Museum North is located at Pedregal Festival Marketplace branch location in North Scottsdale, about 30 miles from the Heard Museum.
