The San Diego Art Institute's 10,000 square-foot Balboa Park gallery, offers a continuing exhibition opportunity to hundreds of San Diego area artists and changing exhibits of visual art, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, monoprint, collage, assemblage, mixed media, photography and sculpture, to visitors. As a non-profit arts organization rather than a commerical gallery, the Art Institute is one of the few venues where Southern California artists, both emerging and established, can compete regularly through the jurying process. The Institute is located at 1439 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. (information as of 6/00)
