The Old West comes alive in this dramatic exhibit open to the public
on Saturday,
August
21, 1999 at Prescott's Phippen Museum. It will continue through November
7, 1999. Images of the American Quarter Horse at work and play are depicted
in this outstanding collection curated by the American Quarter Horse Heritage
Center and Museum in Amarillo, Texas. (right: Joe De Yong, Rancheros

The exhibit contains paintings and bronzes by some of America's
most highly revered Western artists.
Oscar Berninghaus, Gary Carter, Tim Cox, Gary Niblett,
Ron Riddick, Olaf Carl Seltzer, Karl Thomas, Olaf Wieghorst, Joe De Young,
William Moyers and George Phippen are among the premier artists included.
Collected over the years by Aline and John K. Goodman of Tucson, Arizona, the exhibit is comprised of some of their favorite pieces of art from their collection.
