First Annual Reinventing the West

June 25 - September 6, 1999

Kimball Art Center presents the finest contemporary western artists and their work in Reinventing the West. Co-founded by Susan Jones, owner of Meyer Gallery in Park City and Denise Meyers of Kanab, Utah, Reinventing the West brings together artists, collectors and the public to experience art of the new American West.

Participating artists include: Buckeye Blake, David Caricato, Carliss Chee, Barry Coffin, Doug Coffin, Anne Embree, Carrie Fell, Clifford Fragua, Marie Gibbons, Michael Horse, Daryl Howard, Bruce La Fountain, Abby Levine, Jennifer Lowe, Denise Meyers, Leo Monahan, Rock Newcomb, Carole Perry, Jan Rickman, Maria Sharylen, Pauline Cilmi Speers, Patrick Stone and Poteet Victory.

Kimball Art Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1976, dedeicated to providing quality visual art experiences for the Park City community. Kimball Art Center operates three exhibition spaces as well as Community Art Education with classes in ceramics, sculpting, photography, printmaking, painting, drawing, and jewelry in its studios. Reinventing the West coincides with completion of the renovation and restoration of the Kimball Art Center's historic building.
