Picturing Boston: Painting the Town, 42 minutes) a lecture by Erica Hirshler, senior curator, Museum of Fine Arts, who uses images from the MFA's collection to explore how artists represented Boston and its inhabitants throughout its history. [April 13, 2003]
At Home and Abroad: American Expatriate Artists, (56 minutes) in which Heather Cotter, fellow, Adult Learning Programs, Museum of Fine Arts, explores the various influences reflected in the art of American expatriate artists -- including John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, and James McNeill Whistler -- working at home and abroad.
