"Christmas in Victorian America: Works from the Swope Collection," a selection of original prints and an oil painting illustrating the origins of American Christmas traditions, is on view at the Swope Art Museum in downtown Terre Haute November 27, 1998-January 3, 1999.

The Swope, located at 25 South Seventh Street between Ohio and Wabash in downtown Terre Haute, is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., and Thursdays until 8:00 p.m. Closed Mondays and national holidays. Admission is free.
