Van Vechten-Lineberry Taos Art Museum Announces Drawing for E. I. Couse Painting

E. I. Couse, Crossing the Dunes, c. 1893-96

The Van Vechten-Lineberry Taos Art Museum, in conjunction with R B. Ravens Gallery, is announcing the entry rules for participation in the "Museum's Fund Raiser" drawing made possible by an anonymous benefactor who has contributed an original oil painting, size 20 x 24 inches, by Taos Society of Artist Pounder, Eanger Irving Couse. (Painted during his European "Sheep Years")

The date of the drawing is scheduled for September 3, 1999 on the Museum's grounds. A participant must first purchase a Museum membership at no less than a Contributor level. Membership to participate must be purchased between 10-23-98 and 08-23-99. Everyone is eligible to participate, except museum board members, officers and compensated employees. The Van Vechten-Lineberry Taos Art Museum membership form will serve as entry form.

It is proposed that the Governor of the State of New Mexico will serve as emcee and will draw the name of the lucky winner. Winner need not be present to win. Winner will be notified by telephone or mail and will have one year from date of drawing to claim the painting. The painting must be claimed in person at the Van Vechten-Lineberry Taos Art Museum, 501 Paseo del Norte, Taos, NM 87571, and show identification with Van Vechten-Lineberry Taos Art Museum membership card. Winner will forfeit the right to ownership if prize is not picked up within time specified.
