NOAPS, a non-profit corporation was established in 1990 with its primary purpose to promote work of accepted living artists working in oil and acrylic paint and to expand public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of fine art, particularly in these two mediums. The primary focus of NOAPS is the juried annual art exhibit and to encourage and promote talented but lesser known artists.

Planning for EXHIBIT '98 to be held in September, is underway, This year's Awards Judge will be M. Stephen Doherty, Editor-in-Chief AMERICAN ARTISTS magazine, NY. The Society under the direction of Dr. Donald Ruthenberg, NOAPS President, and Betty Fitzgerald, Exhibit Chairperson, encourages artists to write for submission requirements, and invite all art enthusiasts, to join NOAPS and become actively involved in its activities.
