Northern New Mexico Diary, continued...
by John Hazeltine
John reads up on the history of the Chimayo area on the porch at La Posada de Chimayo.
Looking east towards the mountains behind Taos from the Millicent Rogers Museum.
While in Taos, a one and one half hour's drive north from Santa Fe, Barbara Hazeltine had the good fortune to spend some time visiting with Nicolai Fechin's daughter, Eya, at the Fechin Institute. Nicolai Fechin was an internationally recognized artist, living in America from 1923 until his death in 1955. Be sure to visit the Fechin home at the Institute.
