She oversees the curatorial department including acquisitions, research, exhibitions, publications, and the care and conservation of the Museum's permanent collection of more than 3,000 objects. She directed the major interior restoration of the Museum's historic building -- Hyde House, a project which garnered several preservation awards.

Erin has been with The Hyde since 1999 and during her tenure has been responsible for many scholarly exhibitions and publications related to nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art including Picturing Gentility: Portraits of Women in American Art (2000); Family Matters: American Impressionism and Realism (2003); Painting Lake George: 1774-1900 (2005); Adolph Gottlieb: 1956 (2005); Elihu Vedder and Italy (2007); and First Impressions: Winslow Homer and the World of Printmaking (2008). She is the curator of the forthcoming exhibition An Enduring Legacy: American Impressionist Landscape Paintings from the Collection of Thomas Clark and co-author of the accompanying catalogue. Additionally, she has directly managed the installation of more than forty traveling exhibitions at The Hyde.

For the past four years Erin has worked closely with the guest curators Richard Kendall and Jill DeVonyar on the planning and development of The Hyde's exhibition Degas & Music, contributed to the accompanying catalogue, and curated the companion exhibition Degas: Vingt Dessins.

Erin has written for several national magazines including The Magazine Antiques and the Catalogue of Antiques and Fine Art. Her forthcoming article on the pre-1940 American Impressionist paintings from the collection of Thomas Clark will appear in the January issue of the American Art Review.
