Utah Artists Project of the University of Utah Marriott Library offers biographies of histroic Utah artists. Links to individual biographies may be found in America's Distinguished Artists. The Deseret News says in a July 1, 2005 article "The core list of approximately 300 artists was compiled from lists generated by the Springville Museum of Art, the Bountiful/Davis Art Center, Robert Olpin's telecourse, "Art Life of Utah," and the Salt Lake County Fine Arts Program."
