Virtual Volunteering: Expense reimbursement

Volunteer-related out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursable subject to volunteer and TFAO exchanging email agreeing to terms of reimbursement.

Reimbursable expenses are usually for telephone use. TFAO will normally reimburse phone call expenses in an amount up to $8.00 per month.

Procedure for phone calls reimbursement:

• Volunteer places check mark next to each TFAO-related call on volunteer's monthly phone bill
• Volunteer adds up the incremental charges for each checked phone call and writes total on the bill (a checked charge might be a five minute call at $.05 per minute totaling $0.25)
• Volunteer accumulates two or more months of charges
• Volunteer sends copies of marked-up statements to TFAO

Other expenses can be reimbursable subject to prior written agreement.
