Florida Illustrators, Art From Children's Books
This exhibit is a showcase of original illustrations by Florida artists and feature a wide range of illustrative styles including watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink and others. An original manuscript and a storyboard lead the visitor through the development of an illustration from author's pen to the artist's brush. The curator of the exhibit is Sylvia Nissley. The Storytellers of Central Florida will be performing. The public is welcome to attend and bring their children. Admission is free. The exhibit will run through August 29, 1999
The Maitland Art Center is a not-for-profit educational
institution operated for the benefit of all who live and visit in Central
Florida. Hours: Mon. - Fri. 10:00 am to 4:30 pm; Sat. and Sun. noon - 4:30
pm. The Art Center's activities are sponsored in part by the Florida Department
of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council and
by United Arts of Central Florida, Inc.
