The Lynn Beach Painters: Art Along the North Shore of Massachusetts, 1880-1920
Through October 17, 1999 The J. K. Lilly III Antique Automobile Museum's changing exhibition gallery will present a display of paintings entitled The Lynn Beach Painters: Art Along the North Shore of Massachusetts, 1880-1920. Organized by Heather Johnson Reid, curator of the Lynn Museum, the exhibit features works by a group of artists who painted in and around Lynn, Massachusetts at the end of the last century.

An illustrated catalogue written by Art Historian D. Roger Howlett, Exhibit Curator Heather Johnson Reid, and Lynn Museum Director Kenneth C. Turino will accompany the exhibition. This detailed publication recognizes for the first time the accomplishments of the Lynn Beach painters and delineates their rightful place in American art history.
