The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is recognized internationally as one of the finest general art museums in the United States. As of 2009 the Nelson-Atkins maintained collections of more than 33,500 works of art. The Nelson-Atkins is located in the center of Kansas City, at 4525 Oak Street, three blocks northeast of the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO.
