Marie Hull, Home and Abroad: Works from the Mississippi Museum of Art
"Marie Hull, Home and Abroad: Works from the Mississippi Museum of Art" presents paintings by this renowned Mississippi native which record the artist's travels through the United States, Europe and Northern Africa. Drawn from the MMA's Permanent Collection, these works on canvas and paper demonstrate Hull's interest in exotic locations and architectural details. Marie Hull, born in 1880, remained an influential figure in the region's art scene until her death in 1980. The exhibition opens June 21 and continues through August 20, 2000.
