Extensive: In general, extensive information means more than 500-600 words of descriptive text for at least one past exhibit, or over 300-400 words plus in-depth online video or online audio for the exhibit. The websites for the above institutions will be surveyed again from time to tame for additional resource information.

RMO:

Moderate: In general, past exhibit information for these institutions contains less than 500-600 words of descriptive text per exhibit.

RNE:

Negligible: Data on an institution's website limited to names and dates of exhibits, without descriptive text, is considered negligible.
 

NRC:

No readily recognizable representational American art exhibit online content.

 

Staff identification codes for institutions with American art exhibit online content

Only certain staff member and department names are included as addressees in outreach letters. Appropriate addressees and their identification codes are:

/C: Curatorial department (no specific individuals with email addresses)
/CC: Chief Curator, Curator, assistant curators and associate curators, *
 
/E: Education department (no specific individuals with email addresses)
/CE: Curator of Education, selected associates and assistants such as for docents, academic programs, adult programs. Includes college student education associates and assistants at university museums but excludes K-12 student education assistants at other museums.*
 
/D: Executive Director, Associate Director, Assistant to Executive Director (some Executive Directors do not list their own email addressees)
 
/G: only a general email address for the art center or museum
 
/L: Library (no specific individuals with email addresses)
/LL: Librarian and assistants*
 
/N: no email address for the art center or museum
 
/R: Research department
/RR: Researcher *
